South African MMA veteran Trevor Prangley was announced as a late fill-in for the Strikeforce at the Mansion show set for this Saturday night, stepping in to face Anthony Ruiz. Ruiz's original opponent, Renato "Babalu" Sobral, was forced to withdraw from the fight with a knee injury that eventually required surgery.

Prangley was set to fight Matt Lindland on Affliction's second show "Day of Reckoning", but became available once that show was postponed to January due to the Affliction/Golden Boy partnership. Prangley, a Strikeforce veteran, holds a 17-5 MMA record, including a win over Ruiz at a Strikeforce show in 2006.

This bout has seemingly been cursed from the beginning as it was originally intended to feature Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion Bobby Southworth defending his title against Sobral, but when Southworth withdrew, Ruiz was slotted in. Now with Sobral's injury, both original combatants have pulled from the contest.

Strikeforce  at the Mansion II takes place on September 20th on the grounds of the world-famous Playboy Mansion and will feature names such as Joe Riggs, Kazuo Misaki, Mitsuhiro Ishida and a non-title bout between Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Josh Thomson facing off against Ashe Bowman.
